Our Last Lap... Our Last Dance.
First, as tempting as it may be, don't bring the word "lap" and "dance" together in one word... you might just get four weeks for it. :)
Yeah, it's finally here. Our last semester, our last resumption and indeed our last lap. We've all longed for this moment since our first year, when boys wore black ties only and girls were proud in their large skirts. We must first of all (go down low and) agree that over 80% of us never wanted to start this journey- at all! Nobody wanted to attend a university that didn't use phones! We all must have rejected the idea with the famous "Over my dead body" phrase... well, it's not over our dead bodies I guess *shrugs*.
We got here, against our wish maybe, but I must say it has been a very crazy ride... with emphasis on the word "Crazy". It's been four (or five) years of different deans of student affairs at different levels, numerous suspension and expulsion cases, the famous 5/11 church(which I was fortunate/unfortunate to be a part of) headed by our dear Mr. Muyiwa Fadugba, the age of re-writing books of the bible (Paul Hall kings know this)... and the list is endless. However, in the midst of all these crazy events, I must first, be sorry for all the friends we lost through death, suspension or expulsion, then say that IT'S BEEN FUN!!!
Those moments you had to run at Usain Bolt speed to meet up with Tuesday or Thursday service, guys having their ties fly about and girls with their hairs flying here and there... those were tense moments but even more, they were FUN (As long as u didn't get suspended sha). Enough of the history, let's talk about the topic... Our last Lap... Our last Dance.
Talking about our regrets after school, truth is we would regret not doing the things we could have done while we were in school other than the things we actually did. Personally, I would regret not telling all those girls I liked that I did, not singing in the chapel (Yes, I can sing :p) and a host of other things. Yours might be different but there's that one crazy thing everyone wants to do before graduation (not those ones against the school rules sha).
It's the last opportunity we all have... go on, do it, go show your dancing skills in front of the whole school, go show your lyrical skills too, go get that 5 point g.p.a you've always craved for (I know there are only few people in this category), go meet your crush and do whatsoever you want to him/her, go do whatever you want cos, believe me... if you don't, you'll regret not knowing what the outcome of doing those things would have been.
Please don't try to hack the CSIS database, don't try to stab Victoria or slap Pastor Daniel (I heard calling him **** **** now attracts 4 weeks) , don't try to give M***o any growth pills, I want you on that convocation list biko. It's our last lap y'all n I congratulate us all with the hope that all the peeps here now will be on that convocation list. See ya'll at the freaking top!!!
